audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (a master), from which all copies will be produced. It involves improving the sound quality of the
audio by balancing the levels, adding effects, and making other adjustments to give the
audio the desired sound. Mastering is usually the final step in
audio production before the
audio is released to the public.
